Last weekend, Chris and Christina got married at The Barn at Silverstone in Lancaster, PA! I cannot even begin to describe the beauty of this venue, and they had the most beautiful weather, too!! Chris and Christina loved their venue so much that they decided to have their wedding at Silverstone even though they live over two hours away in New Jersey! It was the perfect place for them to begin their marriage, and I was so honored to capture it all.
Chris and Christina wanted to throw the most amazing celebration for their family and friends, and can I tell you that they really went above and beyond! They cherish all the people in their lives and wanted nothing more than to make everyone feel welcomed. Truly, they are one of the most generous and selfless couples I’ve met! Even though this day was about them, what they were looking forward to most was celebrating with their guests! They had been waiting since 2017 for their wedding day to arrive and I think it turned out perfectly for them.
The Barn At Silverstone Wedding
When we arrived, we were welcomed by their closest family and friends. Everyone has such a special bond – you can just tell! All of those involved in helping make their day so perfect wanted nothing more than for Chris and Christina to have the most memorable day of their lives! I think they succeeded!
After Chris and Christina were finished getting ready we went right into the first look! This is probably my favorite part of any wedding day!! There was a beautiful willow tree on the property at the Barn at Silverstone that was the most beautiful place for Chris to see his bride for the first time!! Seriously, I never get over the suspense of this moment!! When Chris turned around to see Christina, he was overjoyed! Their friends were cheering in the distance and the JOY on their faces was super contagious!
From there we took their portraits around the property at Silverstone, and it was hard to pick the best spots (because there were so many!!). Their portraits are seriously some of my favorites! From Chris’ gray suit and floral tie, to Christina in her lace wedding dress paired with a cathedral length veil (my absolute favorite!) – their portraits are not to be missed! Also, let’s not forget about their wedding party (18 people total to be exact), who were some of the most kind people I’ve ever worked with. They were so helpful throughout the entire day! They are so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love and support them!!
Ceremony & Reception
Their ceremony took plan in the Hay Barn at Silverstone! There were beautiful candles lit right behind them and it was such a gorgeous setting! They wanted their ceremony to be intimate and focused on what that moment meant to them! With their family and friends as witnesses, they officially became Mr. and Mrs. Wedding! Yes – their last name is Wedding!!
Their reception was one of the biggest celebration I’ve seen! From the Duck Donuts donut wall, VW van vintage photobooth to their signature drink (they bottled and fermented the bourbon themselves since February!) it was simply amazing! Their guests had so much to enjoy!
There was a ton of dancing – which is exactly what they hoped would happen, too! One of my favorites moments of their reception were the parent dances. You could just tell that both Chris and Christina’s mom’s were so proud of them. I was literally crying behind my camera.
Chris and Christina, I wish you all the best as you start this new journey together!! Thank you both for being such a thoughtful and kind couple to work with!! I didn’t want your day to be over because I’m going to miss seeing you two so much!
