Molly and Jake got married at The Beaumont Inn in Dallas, PA! I couldn’t wait for their day to arrive because I know both of them personally! Molly and I used to work together, and I’m so glad that I’ve gotten to known Jake more over the years, too! It’s just been an added bonus!! 🙂 I was counting down the days until their wedding day because I couldn’t wait to give them the biggest hugs!! One of the greatest joys of my job is photographing friends’ wedding days! It’s just the absolute best!

These two had been waiting 22 months to become husband and wife, and my goodness it was the most perfect day! Molly and Jake are some of the most selfless, caring and intentional people I know, and they had been waiting for this day for so long!I couldn’t have been more excited for them! The anticipation was REAL!! When we arrived, I could tell that it was sinking in for both of them that they were going to see each other at their first look soon, and officially be husband and wife in just a few short hours!!

Their first look took place in the beautiful gardens at the Beaumont Inn. The forecast had been calling for rain but it missed us, which was such a blessing! The moment finally came, and Molly and Jake were going to see each other at their first look! Molly had shared with me that seeing Jake for the first time on their wedding day was what she was anticipating most! So sweet!

Following their first look, they read to each other personal vows they had each written. This was such a special moment for them, and we were all crying! I lost track of how many times I cried on their wedding day! Needless to say, I was an emotional mess! It was such a sweet moment that they shared, just the two of them, before the day really got going. I had never seen this done before, and I’m so glad that Molly and Jake decided to have this private time together!

Then we went right into their portraits! We took all their portraits around the property at Beaumont! There were SO many good photo locations with a ton of greenery – I was in photographer heaven! My couples seriously pick THE BEST wedding venues!

Ceremony & Reception

Their ceremony was situated right next to the creek that ran next to the inn – it was absolutely breathtaking and another moment when I cried a bunch!! Surrounded by over 200 guests, they made vows to one another and officially became Mr. and Mrs. Boyd!! It was just the best!

After being announced as husband and wife they enjoyed cocktail hour with their guests and everyone couldn’t wait to start celebrating with the newly weds!! Molly and Jake kicked off their reception as they danced to “I’m With You” by Vance Joy…at least that’s what Jake thought the plan was! Molly shared with me prior that she had a surprise for Jake. She reached out to Jake’s favorite band Dry Reef who did a cover of “I’m With You!” Jake had no idea and was totally surprised!!

The rest of the night they spent catching up with their guests, making so many new memories and celebrating what had just happened that day!! Also, they had the most delicious and gorgeous dessert and cake spread I’ve ever seen!! If you’re from the Philadelphia area, you might be familiar with Bredenbeck’s Bakery! Well… Jake and his family own the bakery!! They made the most beautiful desserts and wedding cake for their special day!!

Molly and Jake – thank you so, so much for allowing me to be apart of your wedding day! I’m so thankful to have you both in my life, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you!!! xoxoxoxxo
