The entire week leading up to May 11th, I was full of anticipation for Lou and Kelly’s wedding! Since the moment I met these two, I felt like we instantly connected – that is SO, so important for me! When we first met at their engagement session, I could already tell that Kelly and Lou’s fashion sense was WAY better than mine, and I knew that their wedding day wasn’t going to be anything less! Kelly had spent so much time creating and designing the vision for their wedding, and I couldn’t wait to see how her and Lou were going to bring it all together!
The day began with Kelly and her bridesmaids getting ready at her mom’s house, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect location! It’s actually the same place that Kelly’s older sister, Lauren, got ready for her wedding day, too!! So sweet! I was walking up the sidewalk, and before I could ring the doorbell, one of Kelly’s sweet friends had already opened the door to meet me! I immediately felt welcomed, and I was beyond excited for the day to begin!!
While the girls were getting the finishing touches done on their hair and makeup, I was taking photos of Kelly’s bridal details! From her lace dress to her Badgley Mischka heels, I was blown away! Everything was together and ready for me to take pretty photos!! Kelly even had a shamrock brooch and a picture on her bouquet to honor her late grandmother! The bridesmaids even had photos of them with Kelly on their bouquets! Like I said, she thought of everything!
From there, we all traveled to The Warrington for their first look! The sun was shining and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! Their portraits are some of my absolute favorites!! The way Lou looks at Kelly gets me every time! Before their first look, when I was walking with Lou, I asked him how he was doing, and he shared that he had some butterflies because he couldn’t wait to see Kelly! AHH! The sweetest!!
Then came their ceremony!! I know I wasn’t the only one who was an emotional mess when I was listening to Kelly and Lou exchange vows! This is the part of the day that, as a photographer, I always get excited about because I’m witnessing the official start of my couples’ marriages!
The night ended with the sweetest toasts and dancing of course – it was one of the best receptions I had been to in a while! So many of their guests were out on the dance floor!! Even Lou’s grandmother was out there dancing, and I think she had some of the best moves of the night!!! 🙂
Kelly and Lou – thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I have enjoyed getting to know you both more and more from the moment I received your inquiry! Truly, you two are such a blessing, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you both!! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Amodei!
