I’m so excited to be sharing another beautiful fall session with you today! Meet Sam and Logan! These college sweethearts absolutely knocked their fall portraits out of the park. It’s very obvious that they belong together and I’m so happy to know and work with both of them. We met up for their Durham Hill Farm engagement session last week and it got me even more excited to capture their wedding day!
Their Love Story
Sam and Logan met up on a blind date set up by a mutual friend at Panera. It was actually Sam’s first date ever and they had been texting leading up to their meeting . . . but never met in person. Funny enough, Sam’s mom had actually met Logan before – she’s a teacher and had Logan and his brothers in her classes. So her mom was pretty excited when she found out! Obviously, they hit it off and after 5 years of dating, Logan proposed in July 2020.
Originally, Logan wanted to propose on the cruise they were supposed to take in May 2020. But, the pandemic had other plans! So, instead, he decided to propose in Virginia where his grandparents live. They live in a gated community with a country club and on one of the afternoons that they were there, under the guise of portraits by the river, Logan dropped to one knee. His uncle was hiding and taking portraits and afterwards, they were able to celebrate with Logan’s family. Sam had no idea at all it was coming!!
Durham Hill Farm Engagement Session
Their fall engagement session was SO romantic! The chemistry these two have is unbelievable. And we had a great time exploring Durham Hill Farm. All of the fall colors are starting to come out and it made for a pretty picture perfect scene for Sam and Logan. They’re super sweet together and I loved every minute of their engagement session!
What Sam loves about Logan…
“He would do anything for me (and not think twice about it). He is passionate about the things he believes in.
He has a goofy side that a lot of people don’t get to see.”
What Logan loves about Sam…
“She is kind-hearted. She is beautiful. She is smart and hard-working.”
