Cierra & Sam | An Elegant, Backyard Vow Renewal

Sam and Cierra’s intimate, backyard vow renewal took place at her sister’s home in Quakertown, PA!! I can tell you that from the moment I arrived, my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw the reception and ceremony details! Every elegant, rustic dream of mine came true that day – I was blown away! I later found out that Cierra’s mom designed the decor and her dad made so many of the wooden decor items that you’ll see, as well! AMAZING! I couldn’t wait to see Cierra and Sam, and to see what else they had in store for the day!

Cierra and Sam have known each other since high school, but reconnected at a mutual friend’s wedding – (both were in the wedding!), and have been together ever since!! So sweet! Then came the proposal! Sam had family photos planned to surprise Cierra’s mother for Christmas, and Cierra’s girlfriend was taking the pictures! He proposed during the photo shoot, and no one knew besides her friend taking the pictures! How sweet?!

Cierra and Sam define what it means to love and be a family, and this was evident from the moment we met! I so enjoyed watching the two of them interact with each other, their family and friends, but especially with their two beautiful children, Sophia and Oaklen! This family shares such an incredible bond, and it was so neat to witness!

There is no doubt that their ceremony was by far one of my favorites to date! As Cierra’s father walked her down the aisle, Sam got emotional and I know that I started to tear up myself! This was not only a celebration of the two of them coming together, but truly a ceremony recognizing the strength of their family and the love that they share. They made promises and committed themselves to each other again, and it was just the most beautiful ceremony.

The rain decided to show up again for another wedding this year! Seriously, I cannot believe how much rain we’ve been getting here in PA! The forecast called for a flood warning all day, but that didn’t stop Cierra and Sam from walking in the mud and rain to get the best photos! This is everything I hope for when I get to photograph my amazing couples! We were told that we had under 15 minutes until the rain was on it’s way, and that meant we had 15 minutes to do ALL the wedding party and brides and groom portraits! Ready set go! The rain came, but the ones of them under the umbrella are actually some of my favorite portraits!

From the heartfelt toasts, laughs and dancing, they spent the rest of the night making so many memories with their family and friends!

Cierra and Sam, thank you for allowing me to capture such an exciting day in your family’s lives! I am so excited for you both, and you truly have such a beautiful family!
