Hayley & Zach | A Blush & Gray Old City Wedding

When I think back to Hayley and Zach’s wedding day, I immediately have a HUGE smile on my face because I want to redo it ALL over again – even in the rain!!

Hayley and Zach had the most beautiful wedding in Old City! The two of them actually met while attending The University of the Arts in Philadelphia both as theater majors! SO it was only fitting that they chose Christ Church Neighborhood House as their wedding venue! Their wedding reception even took place in the Neighborhood House’s theater room – they thought of every way to incorporate parts of their love story – and their love of Philadelphia – into their wedding day! Hands down, I’d say that they planned the most perfect Philly themed wedding EVER!!

Many of their family and friends traveled from out of town to attend their wedding, and they wanted to make sure all of their guests were able to enjoy the city that they loved so dearly!

Also, they have the sweetest family and friends! It was such an incredible honor to meet all of the special people in their lives, and to get know them more! This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day because I get to meet their loved ones who have made Hayley and Zach who they are today! It’s just the best!

First Look

Oh my goodness! This was the moment they had been looking forward to for SO long! I remember the week leading up to their wedding, I had asked Zach how he was feeling about the upcoming weekend, and he said “ Renée, I’m SO ready!” How sweet?! They couldn’t have been more excited to see each other on their wedding day and to FINALLY get married!

Their first look was one I’ll always remember! All that Hayley and Zach wanted was to see each other! They were going to be husband and wife in a few short hours, and that was just the most exciting feeling EVER!! Zach’s reaction was sooooo sweet – he had the biggest smile on his face when he saw Hayley! These two share so much love and joy!!

Ceremony

Their ceremony took place at Christ Church in Old City Philadelphia! This church holds a ton of history, and is even where Benjamin Franklin attended church (side note: he’s actually buried in the courtyard of the church, too!). If you’ve never visited Christ Church you most certainly should!! It’s the most beautiful church I’ve ever seen! The interior is all white, and the light pours into the church! It’s absolutely breathtaking!

Prior to their ceremony, tours were being given to early arriving guests, as well! AND the church bell rang 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to let everyone know that a wedding was taking place soon! Like I said, they planned the most perfect Philadelphia themed wedding!

Their ceremony was one of the most intimate and beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed! Surrounded by their amazing family and friends, Hayley and Zach became husband and wife! It was such a glorious moment!

Reception

I have to start by talking about all of the amazing decorations that Hayley and Zach spent SO much time creating for their wedding! From the centerpieces all the way to their photo booth, Zach and Hayley designed it all! They LOVE riding their bike around the city, so they even had bicycles as the table number holders! Also, they had a donut tier that was filled with Federal Donuts – absolutely delicious! They thought of everything!

Hayley and Zach were announced into the reception room as husband and wife, and kicked off the night with their first dance! The rest of the night was full of laughter and making so many memories with the ones they love!

I adore these two so much, and I am going to miss them terribly! Hayley and Zach – thank you, thank you, thank you for being the absolute BEST! I’m SO happy for you both, and I cannot wait to follow along on your journey as you pursue careers that you LOVE! I know that I’ll see you two on the big screen one day! 🙂 I’m beyond honored that I was able to witness the start of this new journey! xoxo
