Heather and Ken… you guys!! Just like your engagement session, I wish I could live your Historic Stonebrook Farm wedding day over and over again! In a fashion true to you, you both made everyone (including me) feel at home and welcome your entire wedding day! It will never cease to amaze me how many of my clients are like that – on their own wedding day, they’re still making everyone else feel so special and loved!
You might remember Heather and Ken from their gorgeous Burnside Farm engagement session, but if you don’t – these two are college sweethearts (well, sort of!). They met during their time at DeSales University in 2006 and had their first official date in September of 2013. A few years later Ken proposed to Heather at the summit of Hurricane Mountain in the Adirondack during a weekend getaway! Ken lovingly thought to have the moment documented, and even had their pup Fergus there! In just under a year, Heather and Ken dreamed up and planned the most beautiful and relaxed fall wedding day I’ve been honored enough to be a part of!
A Historic Stonebrook Farm Wedding
We lucked out with a truly beautiful fall day for Heather and Ken’s wedding. It was the perfect fall day!! The two chose a color scheme full of burgundy, navy, and dark grey that just screamed autumn. Heather and Ken chose to have a first look before their ceremony – which I loved. They exchanged private and personal vows during their first look. It was SO special!! After their first look, we kicked off their wedding portraits. Ken brought along his 1965 Mustang to their wedding. He and his dad have been busy restoring it since Ken was 14, so it was extra special to have it there! It gave their wedding photos an awesome vibe!
After a few more portraits, we headed into their reception. I just loved how simple their rustic chic decor was. Heather and Ken enjoyed a sweet first dance before kicking off their party! They were looking forward to being with everyone they loved in one place, as most brides and grooms are, and they focused on making it a day everyone would enjoy. I think it’s safe to say everyone had an amazing time!
Congratulations Heather and Ken! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both!!!
