It was SO good to be back at The Inn at Villanova University for Liz and Andy’s wedding! As I always am, I was so, so excited for their wedding day! When they’re together, their love for one another radiates through all they do! Even with the possibility of high humidity and lots of thunderstorms taking place ALL day on their wedding day, Liz and Andy didn’t even bring it up once! They were so relaxed and not concerned at all with the weather – all they were thinking about was that they were getting married!! I know in my head, I had backup plans in place in case it rained, and guess what? We didn’t have to use any of them! We had cool weather in the morning and early afternoon! It didn’t start to rain until the reception started! Woohoo! This photographer was doing her happy dance, for sure!
The way that I was introduced to Liz and Andy was actually through Liz’s mom, Maliz! Maliz volunteers at the nonprofit I used to work for, and I have known her for over 4 years now! Throughout that time, Liz would join Maliz to volunteer, so I believe I met her several times before! Their wedding actually took place one year – to the day – since Andy asked Liz to spend the rest of her life with him! Cue the tears!!!
Liz literally planned the perfect day! We were always ahead of schedule, and the day didn’t feel rushed at all! I was talking to Maliz, Liz’s mom, about how blown away I was that the day had been going so smoothly! She shared with me that this is how the entire wedding planning has been! I was beyond impressed!
My bride’s this year are blowing me away with their details, and Liz mostly blew my socks off when I saw all of her bridal details! I was in awe! Every piece of jewelry that she was wearing was a family heirloom, her dress was from BHLDN, and I got to photograph another pair of Madgley Mischka shoes this past weekend! AH! Even before we began, Liz’s sweet father, Lou, brought Rachel – my amazing second shooter – and I a tray of coffee, cream and sugar to start the morning! Not in any paper cups or paper plates, but like on a legit serving tray! I was speechless and so grateful!
Once Liz and her girls arrived from getting their hair done, they all got dressed before Andy and his groomsmen were going to arrive for their first look! Liz couldn’t wait to see Andy, and she came down the stairs of her childhood home to see Andy waiting for her at the bottom! It was so sentimental and everyone got emotional! Their family and friends were all their – with misty eyes – watching the start of a new journey begin for the two of them!!
Their wedding day, truly, couldn’t have been more perfect! All of their family and friends were there to celebrate the two of them, and that was so exciting to watch the two families come together!
Liz and Andy!! You two are so thoughtful, so caring and have such big hearts – I’m so excited for you both as you enter this new chapter in your lives! I hope you’re having a blast in Italy!! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bond!
