Sam and Sarah’s Longwood Gardens engagement session was SO much fun! These two hold a special place in my heart because we share TWO things in common: they’ve known each other since middle school like Herbert and me AND they LOVE cats like I do! I seriously loved our entire session together. For two people who said they were nervous about their photos, they were AMAZING together and we just had the greatest time!
Their Love Story!
Sam and Sarah grow up in the same town and met in middle school. They actually dated while they were in middle school but it didn’t last long. A few years later, they reconnected and started their relationship again in high school. Their relationship blossomed and grew as they did and it wasn’t long before they realized, this was really it.
One week, Sam sent Sarah a Google invitation called “Date with Sarah <3” and she knew something was up. They traveled from Newark to Philadelphia for a day in the city. And although they both knew the big moment was coming, it was still special to see Sam get down on one knee on the observation deck of One Liberty Place. Sarah eagerly said yes and now the two are planning their wedding day. They can’t wait to be with their family and friends, and I am SO excited for them!
What Sarah loves about Sam:
“Although we have both changed over the years, Sam has remained constant in many ways. When we reconnected our senior yearof HS, I knew of Sam’s fun-loving light spirit but I didn’t fully grasp his amazing persona until later. As I watched Sam navigate through Undergrad with ease and then graduate with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I realized the extent of Sam’s intelligence and ability to grasp medical knowledge. When Sam switched gears soon after that and pursued his military aspirations to challenge his physical capabilities in addition to his mind, I realized the extent of his intentionality and drive. Not only has Sam excelled in his career but he has always remained the same kind soul who I know I can rely upon at any given moment. He is dependable and has always been good to me. Sam will always make time to clean the house and dote on our cats. He will not complain when I ask for foot massages. He willingly and without asking will fill my water glass during dinnertime. I am so lucky to be with such an amazing partner!”
What Sam loves about Sarah:
“Being a relatively quiet person myself, I have always been amazed at how expressive Sarah is. I love how she is always burstingwith energy, joy, laughter and excitement. She helps balance me out and feel more alive. Sarah has always been extremely compassionate. Many of her life choices have been driven by her intense compassion, such as pursuing a career in nursing in order to take care of others. She is such a good listener as well because she cares so much about what everybody has to say. Her compassion is yet another quality that I admire and love. The third thing that I love about Sarah is her smile. She has the most infectious smile I have ever seen, and I am filled with joy every time she smiles.”
