I finally got to catch up with one of my INCREDIBLE couples, Lauren and Ryan, for their engagement session/anniversary session last week! Because of the pandemic, we weren’t able to ever schedule their engagement session before they tied the knot. Instead, we were able to have a fun fall session this year that was a combination of their engagement and anniversary photos. I can’t wait to see them again in November for their big celebration and vow renewal. That means I’ll get to work with them three times in the last year and a half and I’m SO grateful! Their fall Merrymead Farm engagement/anniversary session is just to die for!!

Their Love Story

Ryan and Lauren met at Penn State after both becoming members of the same co-ed business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi in 2012. They soon found out that their parents’ homes were 20 minutes apart and they began to hang out on breaks outside of school and their relationship grew from there. In 2019, they got engaged while on a trip to Philadelphia for a friend’s birthday party. Before heading home, they were planning to meet up with Ryan’s parents. Beforehand, he asked Lauren if she wanted to go for a walk at Spruce Street Harbor Park. While they were there along the water, Ryan got down on one knee. There was even a photographer there to capture the whole thing! Afterwards, they headed to the Liberty One observation deck to meet his brother and girlfriend to celebrate. Once they got to the top of the elevator, Lauren was shocked to see their family waiting to celebrate with them!!

Merrymead Farm Engagement Session

For their engagement/anniversary session, we decided to head to Merrymead Farm. It’s so beautiful this time of year!! With all of the gorgeous colors and the incredible pumpkins all over the farm, it was the perfect fall session. Lauren and Ryan were such a joy to work with. They’re so in love and they cannot wait to celebrate with their families this fall after a year of marriage. I feel so blessed to know these two and I cannot wait for you to see their fall portraits!

inside and out, and always makes me smile when I am around her. Finally, I love her passion and how deeply she
engages in her job/interests.”
