May surely held some of the greatest memories I’ve made so far since going full-time in my business. I am beyond grateful for all that I’ve learned, and I wouldn’t be on this journey without so many of you! I know that I say “thank you” almost in every post, but I truly can’t thank everyone and anyone who has supported me along the way enough! Thank you again! 😀
I’ve found that there is something so special about surrounding myself with like-minded individuals. I honestly crave being around these type of people because I know that I come out of my time with them feeling encouraged, energized and more connected than I did when I walked through the door.
Earlier this year, I saw that Caroline Logan was releasing the date for her spring workshop! I knew that I HAD to go – there was no question in my mind! It was a Sunday afternoon in January when I received the early bird registration email! I ran over to my husband with a huge smile on my face, and I signed up! I literally couldn’t contain myself because I knew that I would grow in such incredible ways! The next morning, Caroline announced that her workshop was already SOLD OUT – WHAT?!?!
You can only imagine how long January to May felt! I just wanted the day to be here when I would knock on Caroline’s door, she’d be right there and I’d give her the biggest hug (don’t worry, we had already established that we were both “huggers” before the workshop :D).
Well that day came very quickly actually! I arrived to Lancaster early in the afternoon to spend time with a dear friend of mine, Emily! We became friends at Eastern University, and I was SO excited for her to show me around her home town of Lancaster! She took me to all of the must-see places AND she helped me pick out my outfit – see below 😀 Thank you, Emily!!
Afterwards I was headed to a “Meet & Greet” that Caroline was having at her home. This provided a space for all of us to get to know one another before the actual workshop day. Attendees from all over the country, and Canada, started to arrive! We shared our hearts, ate Turkey Hill ice cream, and played Catch Phrase.
That night, Caroline shared with us that her prayer for the workshop was that everyone present was meant to be there – I truly believe that her prayer was answered! God crafted this workshop perfectly in every way, and all of us felt incredibly connected!
Myself and three of the attendees had booked an Airbnb ahead of time in Lancaster! It was such a quaint house (see pic below), and we had so much fun together! Isn’t it absolutely gorgeous!?!

The following day, we woke up early and headed out to breakfast at The Prince Street Cafe – if you’re in Lancaster you HAVE TO GO! The food and Passengers coffee, of course, was incredible! From there, we were on our way to Caroline’s home again for the workshop to officially start! I couldn’t wait!

From start to finish, Caroline filled the workshop with such incredible content! Posing techniques, editing, business strategies, etc. were all talked about – there wasn’t a topic left out! Her passion for loving others through her business was such an incredible take away for me! God is always working and has given us such a responsibility to love on those we meet through our businesses – what an honor!
If you know Caroline, you know that the day couldn’t go on without Chipotle for lunch, of course! Yummy!!

Later in the day, Caroline had coordinated a breathtaking styled shoot!! It was an absolute DREAM (images from the shoot are coming soon! Check out my home page for a little sneak peak :D). She walked us through how she poses her brides and grooms, in addition to how to capture detail shots (reception decor, invitations, etc.) while keeping not only our clients in mind, but the vendors as well!

For me, it was so cool to be able to shoot alongside Caroline, in addition to being able to ask her questions immediately if I was stuck or needed to be shown something again! It truly was such an awesome experience for me 😀

Afterwards, we headed back to her home where we talked about editing and post processing!! Then Caroline’s dad – he is the absolute sweetest!! – arrived with Olive Garden for dinner! He shared with us that Caroline had been praying for this day for a while – I teared up a little bit! We all held hands and prayed together in her kitchen – I felt right at home :D.
The night went on and I couldn’t believe that the workshop was coming to a close. I was beside myself! BUT I knew that even though we were headed our separate ways, we would always share the connection and friendship we started at the workshop. Now, I have friends that are spread throughout the world who are supporting and cheering for one another – how cool is that?!

Caroline – THANK YOU SO MUCH! For your heart, your desire to follow Christ in all you do and for making the workshop such a life changing experience for me! What I learned is invaluable, and I’m truly so grateful!
