I cannot believe that Mary and Lee’s Peace Valley Park engagement portraits are my LAST session for 2021! How did that happen?! The year has flown by! Mary and Lee were in town from Nashville and I was so excited to finally meet them in person as we captured their engagement photos. Hearing about my couple’s stories while we walk and take photos is my favorite part of any engagement session. And I adore Mary and Lee’s story!! Mary and Lee met during the pandemic and after a fantastic first date (where they talked so much they forgot to order food), their relationship took off!

Not long after, on a trip to the Grand Canyon in Sedona, Lee proposed to Mary. Originally, he was thinking about proposing at the Canyon but felt that it was too cliche. So he decided that he’d do it while they hiked to a vista, but that didn’t work out either – no parking available! When they finally found a trail, he began to think he’d propose during their Jeep expedition that night. But again . . . signs weren’t looking good. But, once they got up to the clearing, he realized it was the perfect moment. After setting up his camera (or pretending to!), he popped the question with the gorgeous overlook behind them. How sweet is that?!

Peace Valley Park Engagement Portraits

I met Mary and Lee at Peace Valley Park – one of my favorite spots in PA! I love that they visit this park whenever they’re in the area; it’s such a meaningful spot for them. We lucked out with some seriously beautiful fall weather for their portraits! I couldn’t have been more grateful for that! It was THE PERFECT spot for their engagement photos! We had such gorgeous golden light, too. Seriously, it could not have been more wonderful for Mary and Lee!

I’m so looking forward to seeing these two again at their wedding in May!
