Fall Ridley Creek State Park Engagement Session

I know I always say this, but I truly have THE BEST TIME with all of my couples at their engagement sessions! I love the opportunity to spend time together, hear all about their wedding plans and get excited with them for the big day!! So, when Katie and Connor’s engagement session date finally arrived, I was SO excited! I couldn’t wait to hear about everything going in their lives. They absolutely nailed their fall Ridley Creek State Park engagement session and I’m so obsessed with their images. Katie and Connor are truly a joy to be around. I hope you love this peek into their love story and gorgeous photos!

Their Love Story

Katie and Connor met twice before they ever got together. The first time was when Katie was getting a tour of her future apartment with her roommates and Connor was the tour guide. A year later, Katie began working at the same apartment complex and was re-introduced to Conner as coworkers. Later that summer, they began to hang out and started to date . . . and in October, Connor officially asked Katie to be his girlfriend. Apparently he’d always assumed they were a thing, but her friends convinced him he needed to ask for real! Good thing he did.

In December of 2020, Katie and Connor got engaged. While Connor was moving to North Carolina from Pennsylvania, Katie was with him as they entered their apartment for the first time. When she opened the door, there was a sign on the wall that said “Will You Marry Me?” and he got down on one knee. I guess they have a thing for apartment complexes! I’m kidding. But, obviously Katie said “yes”! Katie told me she was crying leading up to the proposal – although it had nothing to do with the proposal! Katie’s mom had just gotten a new puppy, Darcy, who was SO adorable. Katie thought she would never see Darcy again and was so upset. But, Darcy now lives with them and is the center of their worlds . . . so everything turned out just perfectly for these two!

Ridley Creek State Park Engagement Session

Katie and Connor flew in from North Carolina for their engagement session at Ridley Creek State Park. I mean, how amazing is that?! This beautiful park holds so many memories for them, so I LOVE that they chose to have their session here. With the gorgeous fall colors, we truly couldn’t have asked for a better session together to celebrate their engagement and upcoming wedding.
