This wedding, this couple, was so dear to my heart because I have known Tyla for several years! We were coworkers turned friends, and to be able to walk alongside her and Chris during this VERY exciting time was such an honor for me! When Tyla asked me to be their wedding photographer the answer was a huge, happy “Yes!!”
Tyla and Chris have been together over 10 years now, and you better believe they went all out to plan the best day to celebrate their marriage! They picked the most perfect venue that allowed them to create the fall, wedding of their dreams! The Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club surely did not disappoint! It was my first time shooting at this venue, and I was BLOWN away! The venue sits up on a hill and overlooks the golf course throughout the valley! How stunning?!?
The weather could not have been more perfect, as well! The forecast brought along warm weather, sunshine, a clear, blue sky, AND the trees still had colorful leaves on them!! Woohoo! We all were so grateful for this weather because the day after was calling for downpours!
Tyla was so thoughtful when planning the details of their wedding day, too! She wore her grandmother’s bracelet and used her parents’ cake knife set to cut their wedding cake!
After Tyla got in her dress, and her mom and Maid of Honor (and sister), Tara, helped her put on her veil, – Tyla and her father shared the sweetest first look! This was my first time photographing a father/daughter first look! Her father, Jerry, walked through the door, and was absolutely in awe of his beautiful daughter, who was now a bride!
Tyla and Chris also wrote letters to one another, and both of them couldn’t hold back tears! Their wedding day was pulling on all my emotional strings!
Shortly afterwards, Tyla and Chris had their first look, too! Wow! Two first-looks back-to-back?! Thank goodness I could hide behind my camera because I was getting emotional, for sure!
Tyla and Chris didn’t waste any time to capture their wedding day, so they planned for 40 minutes of portrait time! I was in my happy place! Ahh!! You’ll see what I’m talking about as you view the images from their day! I soaked up every moment! These two were up for ANYTHING when it came time for their bride and groom portraits! Even when I thought we were “done”, I saw on my watch that we had three minutes left! Well, I was most definitely not wasting those three minutes, and they did not hesitate! 😀 Chris also could not stop admiring his beautiful bride – he had the BIGGEST smile on his face ALL day!
Tyla and Chris, thank you for allowing me to not only be your wedding photographer, but providing me the opportunity to witness the start of your marriage! I’m so honored to have celebrated alongside your family and friends! I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you two! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Heleniak!! I like the way that sounds! 😀
