Tina and John are engaged!! We had a great time at their gorgeous Valley Forge engagement session throughout the National Park last week and I’m thrilled to be sharing their photos with you today! Tina and John are the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve known each other forever and it’s so special to spend time with them! They are kind and patient, and seriously just a joy to be with. I loved every moment of their Valley Forge engagement session because they were just SO relaxed and in love. I cannot wait for you to see all their photos!
Their Love Story
Tina and John met during their freshman year of high school. Tina was the “new kid” and somehow connected with John on Facebook. As she started to make friends, they wound up in the same group of kids and before they knew it, they were talking more and more. One night, while John was with his friends, Tina was texting his buddy who actually fell asleep! So, John took the phone and kept texting with Tina. Before the junior prom came, Tina was waiting to see who would ask who – but she and John hit it off and now, the rest is history!! They became an official couple in 2010 and got engaged 7 years later at Longwood Gardens.
They frequent Longwood Gardens about twice a year, so the trip there wasn’t a huge surprise to Tina. As they were walking on the bridge, a friend of John’s (who Tina didn’t know!) offered to take their photo. John got down on one knee and the photographer caught it’ll! After that, they did a quick shoot around Longwood Gardens before they headed to dinner. John said they’d call their family then, but little did Tina know he’d planned an engagement party for them at the restaurant! It was SO sweet.
I loved getting to know them even more during their engagement photos! Tina and John have the kind of love and relationship that is so natural and strong. I’m so so happy for them and I cannot wait for their wedding day!!
What Tina loves about John:
“I love that he’s laid back and not a lot of things get to him. He has a lot of tolerance and patience and I admire that about him and love that it creates balance in our relationship because I can be a little tightly wound! John is also an extremely hard worker. Whether it’s his career or projects around the house, he always has a ton of motivation to get things done and done well. The third thing I love most is his humor. From Day 1, he has always made me laugh, even when he isn’t trying to. He’s a lot of fun to be around whether he’s telling a funny story or just throwing in a random quip.”
What John loves about Tina:
“Her thoughtfulness, she’s always thinking of other people before herself, in and outside of her career. She’s motivating and inspiring, as in she pushes me to the best I can be but is also right there with me striving for her best too. Her willingness to learn and understand new things.”
