My 2022 wedding season has officially kicked off! I welcomed the new year with Carolyn and Sean at their gorgeous winter William Penn Inn wedding and I’m so happy I was able to be with them for their celebration. Carolyn and Sean are two of the most thoughtful and kind people I’ve ever known. It was truly an honor to serve them and photograph their January wedding day this year.

Winter William Penn Inn Wedding Day

Carolyn told me that she had always dreamed of having her wedding at the William Penn Inn. As a little girl, she said that she would drive by the inn with the white lights on the trees and dream about being married here. And now, she did! Carolyn and Sean prepared for their wedding with their family and friends before meeting at the church for their wedding ceremony. Afterwards, they braved the weather for portraits around the property. It was about 27 degrees, sooooo cold. But they were incredible!

We lucked out with a gorgeous winter sunset for their portrait time. I’m so happy that they trusted me to work quickly with the beautiful sunset (and how cold it was). We were able to capture photos with those sparkling lights Carolyn had seen for years. What a special moment! They also had a 1968 Buick Riviera that they posed with and used to travel between the hotel, church and the William Penn Inn! That was provided such a great option for portraits!

Winter Wedding Reception

After everyone was ready to head inside, it was time for the reception! Their first dance is one I will always remember! It was the most fun and energetic first dance I have ever witnessed! Their guests were cheering and singing along, while Carolyn and Sean danced around the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife!! It was such a fun celebration!

Congratulations again, to the new Mr. and Mrs. McCartney! I feel so blessed that I was able to be with these two as they celebrated together!!
