When I think about Heather and Ken’s engagement session and our time together, I instantly smile from ear to ear! Because of that, I want to do it all over again because we had the BEST time together! They are so of the most fun and adventurous people I’ve ever met! Their engagement session took place at Burnside Plantation in Bethlehem, PA, and we had such incredible weather, too! Truly, we couldn’t have had better spring, weather!
I had arrived to Burnside a little earlier to look around the property, and there are SO many amazing places to take photos! From the orchard, to the willow trees and the gardens I just couldn’t wait for them to arrive so we could start taking pictures!
Not only was I able to meet Heather and Ken, but I also met Heather’s sweet mom and their adorable pup named Fergus! I’m so grateful to Heather’s mom because she watched Fergus while we were taking pictures – that was SO sweet of her!! 😉 Fergus is such a beautiful dog! I’ll even admit that he could turn this cat lover in a dog lover 😉 He definitely stole the show when were taking photos! HAHA
Heather and Ken were such naturals throughout their entire session! Literally! Before I even said a word they would already be doing exactly what I had in mind! I think it’s because these two are so comfortable around each other and can make each other laugh so easily! I know they made me laugh! It was so neat to capture their interactions and all the immense JOY they share!
During out time together, I learned more about the two of them! Heather and Ken met in 2006 dringtheir our freshman year in college at DeSales University. They became fast friends during our time at school. After graduation they stayed in contact and went on their first date in September of 2013!
The Engagement
Years later Ken proposed to Heather at the summit of Hurricane Mountain in the Adirondack during a weekend getaway! This was peak fall foliage season, as well! I can only imagine how gorgeous all the trees must have looked at that time! Ken even arranged to have his best friend was their to document the adventure, in addition to their Fergus who was their to share in the joy, as well!
What Heather loves most about Ken…
I love how caring and giving Ken is – he always puts others needs first. He is a giver in the most authentic fashion. Ken is constantly on the move and doing for others. He is always giving his all. We balance each other perfectly when one of us is in need. Honestly, I do not know how I got so lucky. On a lighter note: He is not afraid of calling in and ordering pizza, I have an irrational fear of phones (slightly joking – slightly true).
What Ken loves most about Heather…
Heather is the most artistically talented individual I’ve ever met. Her talent is only matched by her genuine ability to teach her artistic gifts (as a dancer teacher). Her ability to connect and inspire her students is genuine and effortless. Not only have I been fortunate to cross paths with an amazing person inside and out, but I’m also fortunate to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.
When I asked Heather and Ken to describe their wedding day, they shared with me that they want their entire day to be full of love, laughter and dancing! I have no doubt that it will be all that and so much more! I cannot wait for their fall wedding at Historic Stonebrook Farm to arrive!
