I FINALLY got to meet Steph and Joe last week for their Parque at Ridley Creek engagement session. We seriously had THE BEST time together! They scheduled a quick weekend trip to the East Coast from California to finish some wedding planning. Luckily, we were able to squeeze in their engagement session! We actually had to move their session a few days back because the weather was so rainy! I’m thrilled that the weather cleared up, and we had the most perfect weather for our time together. No joke – their session took place a few hours before they had to catch their flight home… so, I’m so grateful everything worked out!
The lovely PARQUE at Ridley Creek was the PERFECT location for their session, too! Steph and Joe loved the historic stone and greenery that surrounded the property, and I was a huge fan of it, too! This was my first time at Parque, and I can see why everyone loves this location so much! There are endless places to take pictures!
Also, let me tell you about my incredible couple Steph and Joe!! They are literally the sweetest and BEYOND excited to get married! The were full of fun, joy, and laughter during the entire session! I literally cannot wait for their wedding day to arrive!! I know it’s going to be full of all that joy too!
Steph and Joe met at the end of their sophomore year at Villanova University. There, they both became members of a church leadership group, Liturgical Council. As members of Liturgical Council, they planned and organized all campus liturgies. They trained ministers for mass, as well as serving as ministers ourselves. They are both very passionate about their faith and are so excited to be getting married at Villanova! That is where they met and dated for the first 2 years together. They knew early on that they wanted to get married, and now that the time is finally here!
After about three years, they got engaged!! Steph always told Joe that La Jolla in California is her happy place. While they were dating, Steph would visit Joe in California and were frequently kayak, snorkeling in the sea caves in La Jolla! It is so beautiful with the coast and all of the sea lions and other sea animals, and it is so easy to relax and just be happy there.
The night they got engaged, Joe told Steph that they were going to a fancy restaurant in La Jolla, and he told her to wear a nice dress. (She knew that the restaurant was really nice, and once she realized where they were going she knew he was going to propose!) On their way to the restaurant, Joe asked Steph to check the reservation on his phone. When she did, she saw that it was an hour later than he had told her it was for, so they went to go walk around La Jolla Cove to kill some time. While they were walking around they stopped to look at the ocean and coast, and Joe proposed there! After that they celebrated with dinner at the nice restaurant.
Steph and Joe, I’m so looking forward to your wedding day to arrive, so I can capture the day you’ve been waiting to arrive for so long!! You two are the sweetest, and I’m so blessed to have you in my life!!
