Casey and Vicki’s wedding celebration at the Hilton Christiana in Newark, Delaware was beautiful in every way! Several days prior they had an intimate wedding ceremony! When I saw them at the Hilton they were officially Mr. and Mrs. Kneale!! Woohoo! On this day, they brought together their dearest family and friends to celebrate their marriage!!
Vicki and I both attended Eastern University, and we lived on the same hall! I never knew that I’d have the honor of photographing her wedding one day! I was so excited to be apart of their celebration! I hadn’t seen Vicki in-person in over four years, so this was definitely so special to me!
How They Met
Vicki and Casey met at the University of Delaware. They were both accepted into a graduate program to pursue higher education in natural science! As long as I’ve known Vicki, she has always had such a passion for the sciences! I’m not surprised that she married someone who shares the same interests, as well! 😀 As a requirement for the graduate program, Vicki and Casey had a biweekly course that began very early in the morning – seeing one another so often gave them ample time to get acquainted. After seeing Vicki around the campus a few times, Casey asked her for her phone number – soon after they had their first date and the rest was history!!! Way to go, Casey!! 😀
The Proposal
Casey shared with me that the moment he met Vicki he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her by his side. How sweet is that?!?!
Through-out dating, Casey also quickly learned that it was going to be hard to get anything past Vicki. It’s like she knew what he was thinking ALL THE TIME! 😀 He knew that to propose he was going to have to make sure she was taken by surprise!
Living in a small apartment it was hard to keep anything a secret but he managed to hide away the ring for over a week. After picking her up from work he asked if she wouldn’t mind starting a load of laundry while he secretly dashed into his bedroom to retrieve a bouquet and the ring (Oh my goodness!! You can only guess what happens next!!!).
Before she could even start the laundry, Casey got down on one knee, and he asked her to marry him!! She was trembling with excitement and said “YES!!!” of course! He then showed her that there was a sign on the laundry machine that said “You don’t have to do laundry, I just wanted to surprise you”.
The Wedding Celebration
The day started off with Vicki and Casey getting ready for their first look!! Even though they were married ahead of time, Vicki had purchased a beautiful wedding dress to surprise Casey with on this special day! After her mom and closest friend Jamie assisted her with getting dressed, we walked out to the Gazebo for their first look! It was the sweetest moment between these two! Vicki looked absolutely stunning with her handmade wedding bouquet and floral hair pieces! Casey just couldn’t contain himself, and was so excited to turn around and see his bride 😀
As I mentioned above, I have known Vicki for years, but seeing her with Casey throughout the day was absolutely radiant. The two of them share such joy and love that you can’t help but have the biggest smile on your face when you’re around them!
Vicki and Casey, I couldn’t have been more ecstatic to witness such a wonderful celebration of two incredible individuals. I’m truly honored to have been apart of such a special day in your lives!! You two are truly amazing, and I’m so happy for you! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Kneale!! I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in Virginia Beach!
