Emily & John | A Floral & Navy Wedding at The Old Mill

Remember the incredible couple, Emily and John, that I blogged about last year who got engaged in Paris?! Well they are married… and their wedding at The Old Mill in Rose Valley is one that I had been looking forward to for SO long! Seriously! Their date has been on my calendar for over a year and a half now, and to be honest, I couldn’t believe that their day had finally arrivedd! I don’t think they could believe it either! ANNNDD it’s only fitting that this is most definitely my longest blog post to date – I just couldn’t narrow down my favorites anymore!

I don’t even know where to begin because there is so much that I want to share with you all about their wedding day! I think the best place to start would be to tell you more about Emily and John! They are adventurous (the most adventurous people I know!), passionate and caring, and I knew that their wedding day wouldn’t be anything less! Travel has been such a huge part of not only their relationship, but their lives and they certainly incorporated this into their wedding day theme! Last time I checked, I believe Emily and John collectively have been to over 20 countries! WOW!

The two of them actually met in elementary school when they were part of the same summer camp play! Since then, they knew of each other but never interacted much until the summer of 2013 when John graduated from college and moved back to New Jersey from California. He was about to move back to California indefinitely when Emily attended his going away party and they started talking again. About a month later they started dating long distance, which lasted almost two years!

Fast forward three years into their relationship, John surprised Emily with a weekend trip to Paris!!! Yes, you read that correctly! Little did she know that in front of the Eiffel Tower, John was going to ask her to marry him! John had been praying to find someone to spend the rest of his life with, and he found that in Emily! What an answer to prayer!

We started off the day with their first look, and there is no doubt that I was so teary eyed watching everything unfold! John got so emotional seeing Emily for the first time; it was just the sweetest thing ever! They took their time, and enjoyed the moment they had been waiting two years for! I love first looks so much!

From here, we went right into their portraits, and did I mention that the two of them are photographers, too!? Like AMAZING photographers and videographers! They allotted SO much portrait time on their wedding day (45 minutes to be exact!) and I was ecstatic! Having their day captured was so, so important to them and it was worth it, for sure!

The rest of their day was everything that they could have ever hoped for, and so much more. From the personal vows they shared, to Emily’s dad singing ‘butterfly kisses’ to her during their dance, to being surrounded by their family and friends, this is the day they had dreamed about for so long!

Emily and John!! The love you share is so contagious!! I cannot get over how perfect your wedding day was, and I’m so happy for you both! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Machacon!
