Danielle and Brian had the sweetest intimate Duportail House wedding. It was so beautiful and so them, focusing on a natural and simple day with their families. After meeting when a mutual friend brought them to a party together, Danielle and Brian began dating. Before long, they knew they’d be getting married! When it came time for the proposal, Brian created a great surprise for Danielle!
Danielle was in Nashville for work and Brian came out to meet her. Since the two love traveling, they were excited to stay at a boutique hotel Danielle had picked out for their weekend together. The two were hanging out and waiting for the room to be ready – and although Brian was acting weird, he said everything was fine! When they got to the room, they found out it had been upgraded. As they walked in, Danielle assumed the flowers and champagne in the room were part of that. Uh, nope!! Brian took a chance to drop to one knee while Danielle was exploring… and as you can clearly see, she said yes! We had a wonderful time celebrating together at their engagement session as they began to plan their wedding day.
A Duportail House Wedding
Danielle and Brian envisioned a romantic and intimate day. They kept their wedding at the Duportail House small, inviting their family and closest friends. The soon-to-be newlyweds started the day together, getting ready in the bridal suite. It was so special to be there as they helped each other into their wedding outfits and the final details. After they were ready, Danielle and Brian had a first look with her parents and sister. Everyone was so happy for these two!!
We spent some time exploring the property and taking their portraits before it was time for their ceremony. Danielle and Brian wrote their own vows and Danielle’s aunt officiated the ceremony. The beautiful florals were designed by Brian’s mom and you could just feel the love in the air as they said “I do”. Following their ceremony, we headed back into the main house for their reception.
The details were simple but beautiful! I loved the pinecones and the color scheme of ivory, baby blue, and emerald. There was something really sweet about how intimate and small their wedding day was. It was perfect for them and they were able to spend the day focused on each other and their guests. Everyone had a great time celebrating – and enjoyed the BBQ dinner Danielle and Brian chose!
Congratulations, Danielle and Brian! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day. It was incredibly special from start to finish and I had THE BEST time documenting your special moments. I wish you a beautiful life together and I hope you have fun on your honeymoon!!
