Kevin and Rebecca were in town just for the weekend, so I was praying that the weather was going to be warm and beautiful for their engagement session! Earlier that week, the weather was cold and most definitely not spring-like, but luckily we had some of the BEST weather of the week! I was so grateful to them for spending an evening with me since they were only in town for not even a full three days!
I was so, so looking forward to meeting Kevin and Rebecca because this was the FIRST time I’d be meeting them in person! Let me tell you – they are the sweetest, and are so excited to become husband and wife! Since this would be the last time that we’d see each other until their wedding day, we factored time into their session to catch up and get to know each other more – I was SO excited about this! We probably hung out and talked for about 45 minutes until we actually started taking photos for their session! 🙂 I loved hearing more about how they met and how Kevin proposed last year on St. Patrick’s Day!
As we were talking, they shared with me that they were a little nervous about taking photos – you cannot even tell because they look like models! They were even willing to sit down – on the ground – in the daffodils for me! I cannot ask for better clients!!
Their session took place at Washington Crossing Historic Park, and it was the perfect backdrop for their session! Kevin actually grew up visiting this park frequently – I had no idea when I suggested this location!
In May, they are having an intimate wedding at HollyHedge Estate, and I cannot wait! I already have a feeling that I’ll be welcomed as family!
When you see these two together you know that they were created for one another! They truly cannot wait to call each other husband and wife, and I’m so honored to be able to capture such an exciting moment in their lives!
How They Met
“In 2014, we met on a Friday night at Areal Restaurant in Santa Monica when the stars aligned allowing me (Kevin) to break the ice. A light conversation led to asking Rebecca to meet the next day for brunch. We couldn’t have known at the time, but our lives would never be the same!
From concerts at the Hollywood Bowl to afternoons on the beach, we grew closer together. Shortly after Rebecca introduced me to her family, we both traveled to Philadelphia where Rebecca met my family. Something special was in the making!”
The Proposal
“On Saint Patrick’s Day in 2017, I harnessed the luck of the Irish and proposed to Rebecca. She said yes! To celebrate, we embarked shortly after on a long-planned tour of Italy where we explored the romantic sights of Venice, Rome and the Amalfi Coast.”
