Orlene & Jonathan | A Burgundy & Gray Wedding

They had waited NINE years for the day to arrive, and I couldn’t be more excited to share Orlene and Jonathan’s wedding with you all! Their fall wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect! They had a beautiful ceremony at Nazareth Academy High School, and their reception took place at Celebrations! The last time that I saw these two was at their engagement session this past spring, which also took place at Nazareth! It was the first day of spring, and guess what?! It SNOWED the day of their engagement session! No joke! We absolutely couldn’t believe it, and were wondering if maybe the weather was going to do something to surprise us on their wedding day! Thankfully it didn’t, and they had so much sunshine and such gorgeous fall weather!

Orlene actually attended Nazareth when she was in high school! So, you can only imagine that the school holds so many memories for not only her, but Jonathan, too, because that’s when their relationship started! They are high school sweethearts! She couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere else, and I’m so glad they were able to officially become husband and wife at a place that is so dear to them!

SOOOO, it’s only fitting that I share with you all how they met from their engagement session (you can read their proposal there, too!)! Orlene and Jonathan tell their love story so well – I just couldn’t do it justice!

How They Met

“We had known each other for a while before we started dating. In high school we had similar friends and were in similar after school groups. We saw each other occasionally when all our friends got together but nothing romantic. Not until the summer before our junior year of high school. That summer our friends were planning a ton of outings and we started to talk more, especially over IM. We’d talk everyday for hours discussing everything under the sun. Eventually it came to the beginning of junior year and every one of our friends were completely shocked by what had started brewing under their noses. We had already agreed to be each others dates for the fall events and tiptoed around taking the relationship further. So one day after school we were with friends just “hanging out” when our friends very obviously left us alone for Jonathan to ask me out. Now almost nine years later we’re making our relationship a little more permanent.”

Ceremony & Reception

Their ceremony was so, so heartfelt and such a reflection of who Orlene and Jonathan are as a couple! I just love the photo of the two of them right in front of the school after they were pronounced husband and wife! BECAUSE it’s at the very place they began their relationship, and now, the very place that they would start their marriage!! SO sweet!!

Then came their reception, and their family and friends seriously know how to DANCE and throw a party! There was so much excitement from everyone throughout the entire night! They were surrounded by so many people who love them dearly!
